PerkMinder ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the PerkMinder mobile application.

Account Information:

• Email address (for account creation and authentication)
• When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address from those providers

Usage Data:

• Which credit cards you've selected to track
• Which benefits you've marked as used or unused
• Your card anniversary dates (if you provide them)
• App preferences (notification settings)

Device Data:

• Device identifiers for push notifications
• App version and operating system information

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the PerkMinder service (track benefits and send reminders)
• Authenticate your account
• Send you benefit expiration notifications
• Improve the app experience

Data Storage

Local Storage:

• Benefit usage data is stored locally on your device
• Your selected cards and preferences are stored locally on your device

Cloud Storage:

• Your email and authentication credentials are stored securely with Firebase Authentication (Google's service)
• We do not store your benefit usage data on our servers

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use Firebase (Google) for authentication services. Firebase's privacy practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account at any time through the app's Settings screen. When you delete your account:

• Your authentication credentials are permanently removed from Firebase
• All locally stored data on your device is cleared
• This action cannot be undone

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Children's Privacy

PerkMinder is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
